The Extreme Networks MGBIC-BX40-U is a bidirectional (BiDi) 1000BASE-BX upstream SFP module for long-range single-mode fiber applications. It supports up to 40 kilometers over a single strand of fiber using an LC simplex connector.
Ideal for use in metro networks, access layers, and point-to-point links, it operates efficiently alongside its downstream counterpart (BX40-D). It is hot-swappable, SFP MSA-compliant, and offers energy-efficient performance.
