The Extreme Networks MGBIC-BX40-D is a 1000BASE-BX bidirectional (BiDi) SFP transceiver designed for downstream communication over single-mode fiber (SMF). It supports up to 40km transmission using an LC simplex connector and operates on a single strand of fiber to reduce cabling costs.
