Extreme Networks 10GB-BX10-U is a bidirectional (BiDi) 10G SFP+ transceiver module designed for upstream data transmission on single-mode fiber links up to 10 kilometers. Paired with the BX10-D downstream module, it allows bidirectional communication over a single fiber strand using different wavelengths for each direction.
This design reduces fiber count and cabling complexity in networks, making it ideal for fiber-limited environments such as metro, enterprise, and service provider networks.
The transceiver supports hot-swapping and is compliant with SFP+ MSA standards, ensuring wide compatibility and easy integration with Extreme and third-party switches.
